Turasona

Founder + Creative Director

Lifestyle Blog + Affiliate Brand

Turasona is a blend of “turas,” meaning journey, and “sona,” meaning happy — a name built around the idea of finding my own happy journey and sharing it.

It began as my personal lifestyle brand and creative outlet, but it has grown into a working example of how I think about content, voice, and brand-building. I built the visual identity, website, blog content, social creative, affiliate strategy, and product-adjacent brand concepts from scratch.

Turasona is part storytelling, part visual system, part internet rabbit hole, and part “how do we make this feel like something a real person would actually want to click?”

The brand is intentionally witty, warm, design-forward, and a little elder-millennial-in-the-best-way. I use it to explore lifestyle content across wellness, food, beauty, home, books, pop culture, and affiliate-friendly product storytelling — with a voice that feels relatable.

Serious organization. Colorful language. Zero shame.

Turasona Toolbox turns the brand’s irreverent perspective on real life into a working digital product: a browser-based suite of interactive planners for life admin, budgeting, job searching, homeownership, meal planning, goals, and weddings.

I took the product from concept through launch, defining its features, information architecture, user flows, visual system, and interface. Each planner needed to solve a different problem while belonging to one cohesive experience—from tracking bills and organizing recipes to managing wedding guests. The work meant thinking through what people needed to accomplish, how their information should be organized, and what would make them want to come back.

The snark is part of that thinking. Names like “Get Your Sh*t Together” and “Pay Your Damn Bills” establish a voice that carries through navigation, prompts, and everyday interactions. I paired expressive typography and colorful language with calm layouts and straightforward controls, designing an experience that makes room for humor without getting in the way of usefulness. The goal: help people handle the less glamorous parts of life without making them feel bad about needing help.

AI was a creative and technical partner throughout exploration, prototyping, development, debugging, and iteration. It expanded what I could build independently; I directed the product, design, and copy decisions, evaluated the output, and refined the experience. Connecting Etsy purchases to product access and creating an interactive live demo also brought ecommerce and onboarding into the work.

The Toolbox brings together the things I care about most: a distinctive brand, thoughtful UX, strong visual design, and the resourcefulness to turn an idea into something people can actually use.

I make brands show up beautifully online. Personally, I keep things a little more low-key — but yes, the good stuff is still happening.
